Bud shootout and Daytona?

May be...

  • The Budweiser Shootout is an exhibition race, for the drivers who have won pole positions in qualifying for races in the previous races and for the active drivers who have won the Shootout in previous years. It is mostly for bragging rights, but it was important this year because of the new car. Participation in the shootout gave the teams more of a opportunity to check the set ups in the car this year, because everything is new and unknown, so the perks were more practice and checking to see how everything worked out before the Daytona 500. I hope I answered your question without causing too much confusion.
  • It Is Just A Big Race Of All Last Year Pole Winners.I Don't Think There Are Any Major Perks But then It Might Help Some Like Dale Jr Because This Year He Is With A New Team. Other Then That The Prize Money Might Be Good
  • Other then getting to run one the track in a race, Nothing realy significance. Only perk the winner gets is a nice paycheck
  • No perks for the 500... just practice, and a big paycheck.
  • i think that it is very significant for Jr. to win the first race that he has run for his new team, after not winning for a long time. so much for all of the haters saying that Jr. can't drive. Just sit back and watch what he can do with a good team.
  • What is the significance of the Bud Shootout at Daytona? Does the winner get any perks for the Daytona 500?
  • The Bud Shootout is an exhibition race. No relation to the 500 in anyway other than they both are run at Daytona and both are events for Daytona Speedweeks. So, no, the winner gets no Daytona 500 related perks for winning. He does however get a sweet cheque
  • $215,000.00 is a good perk
  • the bud shootout is manly a very competive money race. The winner gets no perks for the daytona 500 there starting positions are determined by qualifying and the gaterade 125's
