Isn't it obvious that Jr. ALREADY benefited from the great equipment at HMS?

If Jr. doesn't make the Chase, NASCAR will still keep the Chase, but it will be only down to 2 cars, Jr and Kyle Petty. If for some bizarrely odd reason Jr still can't win, they'll just abandon the whole season and just award the championship to Jr.

No wins for such a long long time and the first race in a HMS car, he wins. This is all HMS horsepower/car. What changes do you think NASCAR will make to the Chase after Jr. does not make it......AGAIN?

There is only so much a driver can do in NASCAR, the equipment you have to deal with has a huge part in how you perform and it's finally nice to see just how much DEI was holding Jr.'s potential back.

He's truly a great race car driver and at Hendrick, nobody can deny it.

I don't understand what your complaining about exactly, he now has the same perks that Jeff and Jimmie has had for their entire Cup careers.

yeah.. he ran a race and did not blow up.. even if it was a short race.. when was the last time you seen a HMS engine blow up.. Hell jeff gorgon ran one last year 75 laps with no water in it .. steam flew for a while then it stoped cause of the lack of water to make steam.. yet he stll won the race.. now that's a good Engine... i see all of HMS teams have good years ..all of them will see victory lane this year.. yeah i said ALL...

Yes........ i think Jr will have a great year at HMS. At the least better than the last two seasons and he will at the least probably make the chase . It just seems funny that Jr had all those blown engines at DEI last year - 5 dnf?? (and most of those races he was running at or near the top 10) I think Jr was getting sub-standard equipment last year as part of DEI's push to get rid of him where Teresa could run DEI motorsports. Not to take anything away from Truex who is a good driver - but you did'nt see Truex have all that engine trouble that Jr had.
